Painted Perfection
After leaving Freycinet National Park we headed south down the east coast of Tasmania to Triabunna where we caught the ferry out to Maria Island National Park. We had 3 days and nights here on this fantastic island, perhaps most famous for the Painted Cliffs on the islands west coast. We planned it well for the first night to visit the cliffs late in the day and with a low tide that allowed great access into this amazing place.

Still pretty quiet out there with not much going on. Anticipating the arrival of many migrants soon!
A small flock of approx. 30 Fieldfare and 3 Redwing out at Lollingdon, a small flock of around 20 Starling and 5 Chiffchaff were the only birds of note.
A new micro moth for Cholsey in the shape of Brindled Plume (Amblyptilia punctidactyla). Caught by Tony Rayner this week.

I've been saving this one last shot from our sunset visit to Sculpture by the Sea for Weekend Reflections. I couldn't get anywhere near the man with the long nose, so this shot was taken with my long lens from afar. I kinda liked the way the people milling around him were reflected in his shiny noggin. It felt familiar in a way, I can't be the only one who has days where they feel like there is a crowd partying inside their head.. can I 😵Happy weekend, take care and stay safe..
