Tracks

After my visit out to Lake Burrumbeet just over a week ago, I wasn't sure it would be worth visiting for a while until we received enough rain to start to fill it up again. On that last visit, when I was on the north east side of the lake, though the area I was at was totally dry, I did notice that further south there did appear to be a few patches of water. So on Saturday evening I headed out to the south side of the lake to investigate...and I'm glad I did! As you can see, the car tracks here have created some fantastic patterns, and the sunset that gradually built from nothing to spectacular was the icing on the cake. I was actually heading back to shore after the fourth one here, when I realised the colour was continuing to build, so I headed back out amongst the tracks. I was also pleased to realise that the levels are rising slightly as when these tracks were done it was obviously a lot drier...far too boggy to attempt driving this far out now.
I know where I will be heading as soon as this never-ending wind drops enough to get some aerials!
