On Friday evening I made a trip out to Lake Burrumbeet. I was thinking of adding to my Lake Burrumbeet Trees project and though there were no clouds to work with, I was very happy with a couple of images I came home with. Whilst dramatic clouds are a great addition to any image, this first one here shows how its not always necessary. In fact I think the lack of clouds helps this image as you focus more on the foreground details and textures. The second image is an example of using the subject to fill in the sky area of the image. It's amazing how intense the colour can get just before sunset, especially when there is some haze on the horizon to really intensify the colour.
