Salvage value..

Looks promising doesn't it, a bit like a scene from a McCubbin's painting :) On rounding the bend the most 'stuff' I've ever seen in one place. I definitely didn't expect to see a gorgeous peacock. Although I have been to many vintage markets etc this was my first trip to a bona fide salvage yard, was not prepared for the vast quantities of everything you can think of including the kitchen sink and bathtub! Despite the hot weather we have had over the last week we are in the middle of a big garden project, I know right, mad dogs and Englishmen out in the mid-day sun :) involving digging up and replanting a mature tree, paving etc. I thought I might find a huge and fabulous old planter pot here but discovered salvage does not = fabulous vintage 😉 One thing that did stand out were the avenues of majestic eucalyptus trees, stunning...

... and then on the way out this happened, and it hasn't stopped raining since. Just shows you when you wish for something hard enough, those wishes can come true :) Rain, thunder and lightening.. fabulous! Back to warmer weather next week but am enjoying it to the max while it's here 💧 Happy Friday, take care and stay safe..
