A blaze of colour on a grey day!

There we were, the seagulls et moi! Alone by the deserted beach yesterday on a grey. gloomy day.. not even a dog taking it's human for a walk, which is unusual because whatever the weather there's always some hardy soul walking their dog! I enjoyed keeping these guys company for a bit, looking out to sea, the wind blowing away the cobwebs in my head.. they lost interest after a while, I had no tidbits for them :)

On the way home I saw that not only were the flame trees ablaze, when stopping to take some shots the trees were brimming with Rainbow Lorikeets, the noise was amazing as they flitted from flower to flower, so much nectar, so much colour.. not a totally grey day after all!
