Wouldn't it be wonderful!

I've heard it said that WA has the 'worst drivers in Australia' reputation and after reading the stats in the paper on Wednesday, 94 road deaths to date this year, it's possible that this could be true. I should probably check those stats, the West Australian has been known to report incorrectly! Wouldn't it be wonderful if all drivers started off their journey alcohol and drug free, not sleep deprived and without road rage so that innocent people could absolutely expect to return safely home to their families. As in many cities we have certain well known danger spots along our roads, one in particular where four precious lives have been lost over the past two years, one very dear to our family, danger spots that should be a priority but.. aren't. I love Perth very much but after a night spent with two young children who have lost their mother I'm angry. Hopefully this is the last time I'll share my sadness but I can't promise.
