Sensational Saturday Sunrise

A spectacular start to the weekend, right here in Ballarat. I spied some hints of colour well before sunrise and was quickly up to Lake Wendouree. I realised the clouds were best positioned to the south to catch the colour, not to the east as is generally the case for sunrise. The north side of the lake at Dowling Point gave me a range of vistas as the sky really put on quite a show, and to top it all off the addition of the rainbow added that something extra. This series is a great example of the changing colours you can get as the sun rises higher. And its worth clicking on these for a larger look...that panorama is best seen bigger!
