Lawns
Location

At 7:00am this morning a Great Spotted Woodpecker feeding from the feeders and 2 Grey Herons squawking to each other as they flew over the house.

Savernake Forest
Location

Dave Brotheridge ran a moth trap last night in the heart of Savernake Forest with eleven adults and four children. There was a good variety of moths including:
Lobster Moth
Marbled Brown
Orange Footman
Poplar Kitten, Furcula bifida
Mottled Beauty, Alcis repandataBrown Rustic
Ingrailed Clay
Green Oak Tortrix, Tortrix viridana
Clouded Border, Lomaspilis marginata
Marbled Bell, Eucosma campoliliana and many others.

He also showed us some interesting beetles including a Rhinoceros Beetle (Sinodenron cylindricum) and a click beetle sp.
