Bo Peep and Burrumbeet

On Sunday afternoon I headed down south to a spot I've had my eyes on for a while down at Enfield...when I got there the gate across the road put an end to any thoughts of that! So I figured Lake Burrumbeet and Bo Peep Creek always give me something nice, and indeed they did! Once again this selection shows you what you can still find when the weather may not be too exciting...though it does help if you can get the camera up off the ground! However, the best image here of Bo Peep Creek catching the very brief breaks of sunlight, was taken from ground level, and though it's a spot I have been to many times, this first image here is one of my all time favourites. Lake Burrumbeet continues to slowly fill as the creek is really roaring, and I found a group of 11 pelicans that seem to be the lone remnants of the huge packs from a year ago. And the colours on the edge of the lake are amazing...really worth a look if you want to pop out that way, its only 20 minutes from Ballarat.
