No Sightings in so far today...............

Note:

Quite a few Spring migrants are hitting our shores, so keep an eye out for the following species. I have added a few likely places to see them, based on sightings sent into this Blog over the past few years.

Osprey - Coate Water, Cotswold Water Park and any large expanse of water. Plus if you hear gulls making a racket it could be a raptor and Ospreys aren't exempt from their mobbing. Osprey Webcams Here at Rutland, Loch Garten Here and this one Here at Dyfi on 25 Mar.

Little Ringed Plover - Cotswold Water Park on sandbars. For example the scrape on CWP Pit 74 observed from Twitchers Gate. The first Little Ringed Plover this year was at Kent End on 30 Mar.

Sand Martin, House Martin and Swallows - Any water at this time of year as they will be looking for insects to feed on. - This year first Swallow over Southleaze Lake and Sand Martin CWP Pit 74 both on 11 Mar. House Martin CWP on 23 Mar

Wheatear - Liddington Hill, Barbury Castle, Blakehill Farm NR, Morgans's Hill, Fyfield Down, Shaw Forest Park. This year first Wheatear sighted at Fyfield Down on 13 Mar.

Ring Ouzel - Liddington Hill, Barbury Castle, Morgans's Hill, Fyfield Down. This year first Ring Ouzel at Hackpen Hill on 30 Mar.

Cuckoos - Cotswold Water Park, Savernake Forest, Coate Water, Stanton Park. Where are they now. Cuckoo Tracking Here.
