On our full day at Tasman National Park we did the Cape Hauy hike, around 4 hours return that we managed to spend over 7 hours doing! (I'll explain later!) THis hike was just about on the top of my bucket list for the trip as I knew it would give me some spectacular views of the dolerite cliffs that southern Tasmania is well known for. We had thought about doing the boat tour to see the cliffs, but decided on the hike...and as you can see in this image we nearly caught up with the boat! We spent quite a long time at the lookout at the end of the hike and waited patiently for the boat to appear - really love the wake the boat has created here!
If you look on the left side of the image you will see a pillar of rock, and if you look very carefully you can just make out a climber on the rock nearing the top...I'll give you the full story on that tomorrow!
