Storm(ie) in a coffee cup..

Calling in to Milk'd Cafe, very cool space in Maylands with mon amie française Marie I was rewarded not only with with excellent coffee but also the bonus mural here by renowned Perth artist Stormie Mills. His 'whimsical, thought provoking characters created from a restricted colour palette of black, white, grey and silver' can be found from USA to Tokyo and many places in-between. His 'distinctive characters have captured the imagination of international audiences building a strong following for his work'. In the words of the artist "I go there almost every morning for a coffee. I actually reuse the coffee cups to put paint into, I've got a big collection of those. I wanted to tie those cups into the artwork somehow, as well as the coffee bean; I guess it's a bit like a two-cup monte." What's not to love right! Happy Tuesday, take care and stay safe..
