Beating the heat..

It had to happen at some point.. after lulling us into a false sense of security summer hit with a blaze over the last two days. It was Aimee's birthday yesterday, I took these shots last night at Hillarys Boat Harbour around 7ish before dinner, it was still close on 37C. Yesterday was the hottest February day in 23 years getting to almost 43C. By the ocean was the place to be, it was lovely strolling around the harbour..

When Aimee was at school, the first term of the new year always started on her birthday and it was always around 40C. To make up for it ever since she started working she has officially taken the day off for her birthday, and as she works every day in the city there's no way she will go in on her 'special' :) day. To beat the heat yesterday morning Aimee and I went to our local movie theater to see Dr Dolittle.. as you can see below we had the place to ourselves, so cool not to be surrounded by people munching crisps 😀 Happy Wednesday, take care and stay safe..  P.s. enjoyed the movie too.
