SWIPE LEFT. This week took a toll on us. We tried to communicate the truth about white privilege and structural racism to well-meaning white people, and were met with defensiveness and/or hostility. It dawned on us that we have neither the tools nor the training to address these conversations. We also realized that this moment is a shock to the system for many white people who firmly believe in their goodness, and that they couldn’t possibly play any role in the injustices we see today.
