We didn’t really celebrate the 4th this year. Didn’t seem the right time. Or rather, celebrating anything about the USA right now seems in bad taste. But we had a lot of sparklers left over from last year. When the cacophony of neighborhood fireworks lit up the sky - the boys ran onto our lawn and shared their sparklers with all the other kids on the block. Everyone was socially distant on their own lawns, their sparkling glowing in their hands.
