Preserved in time..

Yesterday was such a gorgeous winter day, we drove to Fremantle to have lunch with Aimee as this is where she works now, that's a whole different story! Although the vibe in Freo city has really picked up since our last visit a month or so ago you can see here the harbour is still quiet. Below three container ships to the left but to the right not a single ship in dock, good to see. It's going to be a while before we see any cruise ships docked here.. if ever!

Below my favourite building on my favourite street.. Phillimore Street. Anyone who loves heritage buildings as I do would love Freo, so much superb architecture. In fact there are so many heritage listed buildings in Fremantle that it has been recognised as 'the best preserved example of a 19th century port streetscape in the world' you can read about it HERE..

On the corner of High and Henry St. sits the Orient Hotel. now Bar Orient. You might have to embiggen to see the 'it's good to be a little different' on the colourful umbrellas :) Few more shots of this trip tomorrow, happy Thursday, take care and stay safe..
